Maths Tuition Fees in Edinburgh
Smart Wave Consulting Limited provides specialist, one-to-one STEM education delivered by a Masters-qualified Automation and Control Engineer. All sessions are individually structured around each student's specific learning needs, examination requirements, and long-term academic goals.
Sessions are available in-home across Edinburgh or online via video call. All in-home sessions include a travel surcharge to reflect the professional service provided directly at your location.
Standard Rates
Primary & Early Secondary (P5–S3, Maths / General Science) £33 per hour — online , £40 per hour — in-home Edinburgh
National 5 / GCSE Equivalent
£38 per hour — online, £45 per hour — in-home Edinburgh
Higher Mathematics
£50 per hour — online, £53 per hour — in-home Edinburgh
Advanced Higher Mathematics
£60 per hour — online, £67 per hour — in-home Edinburgh
University Level / Engineering Mathematics
£65 per hour — online, £72 per hour — in-home Edinburgh
Specialist Exam Preparation / Intensive Support
£75 per hour — online or in-home
All in-home sessions include a standard travel surcharge of £7 per session within Edinburgh. Sessions outside central Edinburgh may incur an additional travel fee, confirmed at booking.
All sessions are 60 minutes.
Small Group Sessions
Small group sessions for siblings or friends studying the same subject can be arranged upon request. Group sessions are available at £30 per student per hour, whether online or in-home. Group sizes are capped at three students to maintain quality and individual attention.
Block Booking Discounts
Families who commit to a block of sessions benefit from reduced rates and guaranteed availability. Discounts apply to the standard session rate:
20 sessions — 5% discount
Block bookings are valid for the current academic term and provide priority scheduling. Payment for block bookings is due upfront by bank transfer.
Payment Methods
Payment is accepted by bank transfer. Invoices are issued by Smart Wave Consulting Limited and should be settled within 3 days of the invoice date. Block booking payments are due in full before the first session.
Cancellation Policy
Please provide a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged at the full session rate. Repeated late cancellations may result in a requirement to pre-pay for sessions.
